Pay in 4 is an interest-free instalment plan that lets you split your purchase into 4 payments, with the first payment due at the time of the purchase and the remaining three automatically charged every two weeks.

Pay Monthly is an instalment plan that allows you to spread payments over 3, 6, 12, or 24 months and charges interest. The first payment is due one month after purchase.

You can shop online with Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly just about everywhere PayPal is accepted.

Pay in 4 will appear as a payment method for shopping cart values between $10 and $2,000 when you check out with PayPal. Similarly, Pay Monthly will appear if you’re buying something between $49 and $10,000.

You must be a Canadian resident and at least the age of majority in the province or territory in which you reside and hold a PayPal account in good standing or open a PayPal account to apply.

Pay in 4 and Pay Monthly are not available for certain merchants and goods and may not be available for certain recurring subscription services.

Pay in 4 is always interest-free, with no late fees or sign-up fees. With Pay Monthly, you will pay a fixed interest rate, which varies based on your credit worthiness, and you won't pay any late fees or sign-up fees.

Automatic payments are set up at the time of purchase when you shop with Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly. You can update your method of payment in the PayPal app or online.

When applying for PayPal Pay Later, a soft credit check may be needed, but will not affect your credit score.

Yes. You can view your Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly outstanding balance in the PayPal app by clicking Pay Later. There you can make additional payments as desired, or pay off the loan in full at any time. You won’t be charged a fee or penalty if you do so.
